In 1998 when I started making purses, I was searching for a way to use the piles of scrap leather we had from our chap production. At the time my only design was a large gear bag. This is still one of my most popular bags and comes in three sizes and various leather combinations.
Now I combine unique designs with high-quality leather, hair on cowhide, elk and bison hides, calf skins, stone, spots, crystals and horse hair. I love finding new ways to embellish a bag or attach a strap or even use unique pieces of scrap leather.
We live outside of Newell, South Dakota with several horses, cows, and dogs. I am a cowhorse/reiner junkie and have enjoyed competing with my mares for the last 15+ years.
